Jerry Kelly, Barney '89, Receives an Honorary Degree

The University of Hartford presented alumnus and PGA Tour winner Jerry Kelly ’89 with an honorary Doctor of Humanities during a special ceremony on Monday, June 22, in Wilde Auditorium. “We are extremely proud of Jerry’s accomplishments as a professional golfer and the strong example he sets for our entire University community as a public citizen," said University President Walter Harrison. Barney's Investment Course Now Open to Undergrads
Barney’s two-semester, Financial Analysis and Investments course, BAR510/511, introduced last year for MBA students, is now open to undergraduate seniors. The course offers hands-on experience investing real money provided by the University.  In keeping with Barney’s mission statement, the money is invested in two newly created funds; a Green fund and a Social Responsibility fund.   Click here for details.

Study in Dubai This Winter
For winter term 2009/2010, Barney will again offer International Business (IB 610), a study abroad trip to Dubai as a graduate business elective.  The course will focus on understanding and doing business in the Gulf region.  Successful trips to Dubai were led by Dr. Steve Congden in winter terms 2007/2008 and 2008/2009. Learn more at: http://uhaweb.hartford.edu/dubai/
