The Mission of the Institute
is to advance and support entrepreneurship activity by creating opportunities for businesses, government and non-government agencies, and educational institutions in an effort to promote, support and sustain entrepreneurship in the State of Connecticut.
The goal of The Institute
is to fuel entrepreneurship success through education, networking, as well as the creation and dissemination of entrepreneurship knowledge in our community. The institute emphasizes the partnership between the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford, and our community through our business partners and sponsors.
In order to fulfill the above mission and goal, the institute under the guidance of our board of advisors has launched three major initiatives; panel discussion series tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, a campus wide business plan competition designed to promote the sharing of new ideas as well as stimulate the creation of new venture, and an entrepreneur HelpDesk pilot program designed to provide assistance for starting and growing businesses in CT.
