Professor Gantt began her professional career as assistant counsel for the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. She has served as legal counsel and provided regulatory advice to several specialty insurers. She began her full- time teaching career at the Barney School in 2002 after serving as a lecturer at Howard University in Washington, D.C
