I received my Ph.D., and M.Phil., degrees in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business, New York University (NYU), in 1978, currently referred to as Stern Schools of Business. I was granted the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in September 1997.
I have been teaching on a full time basis in the areas of investments, and corporation finance since 1978. I was an NYU Scholar-in-Residence in 1990 during my first academic sabbatical leave, and a Visiting Associate at Yale in 1997 during my second sabbatical leave. My name has appeared in the 1998 edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers; The Best Teachers in America Selected by the Best Students, as well as in Who's Who in Finance and Industry, 2000-2001. I was the winner of the Barney Excellence in Research Award, 2001, and became a member of the Beta, Gamma, Sigma, 2001. I have been teaching on a full time basis at the University of Hartford since 1980.

Professional Activities: Member, the CFA Institute and the Hartford CFA society.
