Dr. Lei received her Ph.D. in business, with a specialization in risk management and insurance, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests include health insurance, insurance economics and medical malpractice insurance. She joined Barney School of Business in 2004 and currently teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in risk management and insurance.
