Ke Yang joins the Department of Economics, Finance and Insurance at the Barney School as a Assistant Professor of Economics in the Fall of 2008. Dr. Yang has taught at Alfred University in the past three years as an Assistant Professor of Economics after he finished his Ph.D. in economics at Oregon State University in 2005.
Dr. Yang's research interest lies in the broad field of applied econometrics, with a specialized emphasis in nonparametric regressions and their applications in empirical economic studies. His recent papers focus on the estimation efficiency of some recently developed kernel regression techniques aiming at additive model and models with non-spherical error structures. He also works on applying the nonparametric method to the production function estimation and health economics. Dr. Yang has published in the Journal of Nonparametric Statistics and presented at multiple econometric conferences and seminars.
