Membership status in Alpha Mu Alpha is available to individuals who attend a college or university having an established AMA collegiate chapter, and/or who attend a regionally or nationally accredited institution. The appropriate Alpha Mu Alpha faculty coordinator, on campus, nominates marketing students who meet the academic standards approved by the AMA Board of Directors. The nominees are invited to complete initiation procedures and gain Alpha Mu Alpha Honorary recognition. Senior Undergraduate Seniors: All students in the top 10% grade point average (GPA) of all undergraduate students at the School or College of Business graduating within the academic year. Graduate Students: All students in the top 20% GPA of all students in the Masters program and concentrating in marketing. Beta Gamma Sigma Beta Gamma Sigma is the honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International. Beta Gamma Sigma encourages and honors academic achievement in the study of business, fosters personal and professional excellence, advances the values of the Society, and serves its lifelong members.
Since the Fall of 2005 the Barney School chapter has been recognized by Beta Gamma Sigma as one of the Premier Chapters in the Northeastern portion of the United States. Omicron Delta Epsilon Omicron Delta Epsilon is the International Economics Honorary Society. It recognizes scholastic achievements in economics, fosters closer ties between students and faculty at the University of Hartford as well as other colleges and universities in the region and nation, publishes the American Economics as a publication outlet for promising undergraduate and graduate student papers, and provides the opportunity for our students to compete for several national awards and scholarships. Students are invited to join OED on the basis of outstanding academic achievement. The University of Hartford chapter of OED is self governing and abides by the constitution and by-laws of the national honorary society.
