If you would like to make a gift to a specific Barney School of Business fund review the list below. Each fund has a description of how your generosity will be used to help our students and faculty.

Deans Discretionary Fund
During the year unique needs are identified that call for support for the development of our students and faculty. This fund is dedicated as seed money support for development of new initiatives. While these are never known in advance, they are often worthy of meritorious awards and eventually many of these are converted to formal programs in the school.

Dean's Honor Society -Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of our finest business student scholars. To join this AACSB International sponsored society requires the students be in the top 7% of the junior class, top 10% of the senior class, or top 20% of graduate students. Each year we strive to increase the number of students who join BGS. Support for this fund will help us to more appropriately recognize the achievement and academic excellence of our students, and promote activities that will engage BGS graduates in our local, regional, and international community.

Faculty Excellence Fund
The Barney mission recognizes that while teaching and learning are our primary focus, neither of these can be fully attained without continued professional development by our faculty. Support for this fund provides opportunities for faculty to engage in research activities that they would not be able to under normal circumstances.

Barney Fund for the 21^st Century
This fund supports our student's international academic experiences and increases their involvement in activities that enhance their social responsibility.

Executive MBA Fund
The Executive MBA has increased in stature over the last 20 years and serves the needs of a wide range of business professionals with a diverse range of occupations. This fund provides scholarship support for professionals and managers in the nonprofit sector.

Barney School Annual Fund
The Annual Fund raises more than $1 million annually to support the educational opportunities provided at the University of Hartford. This support comes from the university's alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends, corporations and foundations. All of these people and organizations believe in the opportunities a good education can provide and make their own contributions to back up those beliefs. A strong Annual Fund increases the value of the education current students receive, and the value of a degree from the university.
